Sintia Radu is a 2025 Millennium Leadership Intensive participant who envisions a world where artificial intelligence helps build digital systems that give everyone equal access to economic opportunities and technological independence. As communications lead for the World Bank’s Digital Public Infrastructure Program—a multi-government initiative spanning several foundations, the French, United Kingdom, and Norwegian governments—she spearheads communications for a $2.3 billion investment impacting 550 million people across 83 countries, facilitating AI for good solutions for digital IDs and payment systems that transform how governments serve their citizens. Her strategic communications expertise has significantly influenced landmark technology policy, including the passage of the $280 billion CHIPS and Science Act and the EU AI Act during her tenure as Communications Director at the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation (ITIF). She co-founded an award-winning AI journalism startup harnessing IBM Watson technology and recognized by the Associated Press annual innovation report. Her global reporting has been featured across 100+ international publications, including the Washington Post, CNN, and Hearst International. She holds an MA in Journalism and Communications as a Fulbright Scholar and is a NASA/IBM journalism fellow and World Bank Innovation Awards finalist.
