By Tyrell Junius
If the United States truly wants to embrace the African diaspora, it must create policies that promote the digitization of records and the creation of databases that are affordable and accessible to the public.
Tyrell Junius was an associate director at the Atlantic Council’s Africa Center and a business owner focusing on agribusiness in Zambia and the United States. His business focus is on improving nutrition for at-risk populations. He is a returned Peace Corps volunteer of Zambia as well as a director at-large with the United Nations Association of the National Capital Area. Prior to that, Junius received a Master of Business Administration from the Graduate School of Management, Globis University that concentrated on social-impact strategy and finance.
Outside of international affairs, Junius is passionate about volunteerism, fashion, technology, and local economic development. During his career, he has worked with local governments, Fortune 500 companies, civil-society organizations, academia, and nongovernmental organizations.
