Usman Ahmed is the Head of Global Public Policy at PayPal, Inc. where he advocates the company’s position on domestic and international policy developments and drives research, partnerships, and projects that leverage technology to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Mr. Ahmed is also an adjunct professor at Georgetown Law where he instructs courses on Fintech Law & Policy and The Internet and International Trade. Previously, Mr. Ahmed was the global policy counsel for eBay, Inc., where he produced policy and legal analysis. Mr. Ahmed has had speaking roles at the Digital Single Market Conference, the Berkman Center for Internet & Society at Harvard Law School, and has testified before the US House of Representatives on “Expanding US Digital Trade and Eliminating Barriers to US Digital Exports”. Mr. Ahmed was awarded his M.A. from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, J.D. from University of Michigan Law School, and a B.A. from the University of Maryland.
