Colombian born, Panamanian raised, self-declared citizen of the world. Virginia is a passionate social entrepreneur dedicated to bridge the gender gap of access to academic and economic opportunities. As a good cross-pollinator, she has worked in several industries like international development at the UN WFP and FAO, banking in HSBC, startups in Kiva and LittleBigMoney and own ventures like Hecha y Derecha and InnCube. Virginia is a life-long practitioner of human center design because she believes humans have the answers to all world problems. Currently, Virginia is the “Humanologist” for a quickly growing startup Selina Hostels where she is in charge of hiring and developing human talent. Aside from work, Virginia loves to travel and views the world as the best classroom to learn and playground to experiment.
