US News and World Report quotes Brent Scowcroft Center Nonresident Senior Fellow Matthew Kroenig on Congress and the Iran nuclear deal:
“The administration’s lobbying effort on the Hill might be easier than people think,” says Matt Kroenig, a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council. “The president will be able to sway Democrats by saying the alternative to the agreement is war, but I think there’s very little the president can do to sway Republicans and say this is a good deal.”
He adds: “I don’t see a quid-pro-quo with Keystone or something else being necessary or helpful for shaping views on the Hill.”
