Business and political stakeholders in Detroit met last week for a conference called “Diplomacy Begins Here: Detroit”. The event was one of eight across the nation. It was sponsored by the U.S. State Department, International Visitors Council of Detroit and Global Ties U.S..
The idea is to broaden the understanding of U.S. public diplomacy, foreign policy and the importance of exchange programs in the global community and marketplace.
