On January 21, Christopher Preble published an article, “Sound Foreign Policy Begins at Home,” in Michael A. Cohen’s new Substack project, Truth and Consequences. The article makes the argument that President Biden will need to focus on addressing the pandemic and rebuilding the economy if he is to have success in foreign policy agenda.
“Addressing this growing challenge begins with setting clear priorities. The few initiatives around which President Joe Biden might be able to fashion a workable political constituency are domestic: surviving the COVID-19 pandemic; repairing the US economy; and restoring trust in US democracy and the institutions that underpin it. “
