The Realign For Palestine project at the Atlantic Council aims to amplify pragmatic voices who courageously advocate for Palestinian statehood and self-determination, unequivocally reject violence, terrorism, and extremism and acknowledge a two-nation solution, including Israel’s right to exist in safety. Decades of violent conflict have proven that all who support Palestinians must realign our words and actions to finally achieve lasting peace.
Realign For Palestine fosters innovative thinking, advocacy, and action toward regional peace, security, and nation-building of two homes for two people.

Realign from radical extremism to radical pragmatism
Calls for more violence must be rejected. Violence only fosters fear, resentment, and retribution.
It’s time to reject maximalist language and for balanced perspectives to be heard.
Realign from mutual destruction to two states for two people
October 7 proved the futility of violent armed resistance as a pathway to peace, with innocent civilians paying the highest price. An intertwined, shared future that recognizes each other’s humanity and differences while allowing Palestine to flourish in prosperity alongside a safe and secure Israel—is the only way forward.
Realign from black & white narratives to multiple truths
Multiple things can be true at the same time. Palestinians and Israelis each have legitimate grievances, valid histories, rights, and aspirations.
Realign from hateful words to helpful actions
All who support Palestinians need to ditch slogans like “From the River to the Sea” and “Globalize the Intifada.” Threatening language is dangerous and keeps people apart—and, with it, opportunities for peace.
Realign from subverting peace to peaceful activism
It’s time to change how all who support Palestinians talk and act—to start on a new path of cooperation. By finding common ground, we can better understand the complexity of the Israel and Palestine conflict, make compromises, and end the violence once and for all.
