In October 2020, Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security deputy director Matthew Kroenig published two chapters in the Louisiana Tech Research Institute’s Guide to Nuclear Deterrence in the Age of Great-Power Competition. His chapters, titled “Nuclear Superiority Matters” and “The Challenge from the Islamic Republic of Iran,” explore the importance of US nuclear strategy and superiority, and approaches for nuclear nonproliferation and deterrence against Iran, respectively.
