The Veterans Advanced Energy Fellowship is a one-year nonresident fellowship program which equips veterans, reservists, and military spouses committed to advanced energy and veteran community engagement with public-speaking, policy, and entrepreneurship training; mentorship and writing opportunities; and more.

Fellows serve as peer mentors, advocates, and spokespeople for other veterans, reservists, and military spouses working to solidify the advanced energy connection to national security and grow veteran employment in the green economy. They represent all major branches of the US armed forces, work across the advanced energy industry, and are based around the country.

POLICY PROPOSALS

2023-2024 Veterans Advanced Energy Fellows prepared a policy memo on a topic related to national security, advanced energy, and/or military veterans with the guidance of an advisor from the Atlantic Council network.

Each policy proposal diagnoses a problem and proposes a solution to a specific actor or actors. Fellows also consider the counterarguments of the policy prescription to strengthen the proposed pathway.
