The Veterans Advanced Energy Fellowship (VAEF) works to create a cadre of future leaders within the advanced energy industry. VAEF fellows serve as peer mentors, advocates, and spokespeople for other veterans, reservists, and military spouses working to solidify the advanced energy connection to national security and grow veteran employment in the green economy.

Fellows are veterans, reservists, and military spouses committed to advanced energy, the energy transition, and veteran community engagement. They represent all major branches of the US armed forces, work across the advanced energy industry, and are based around the country.

VAEF alumni had the opportunity to engage in topical seminars with leaders in the advanced energy industry, draft written pieces for Atlantic Council and external publications, and serve as moderators during Veterans Advanced Energy Week.
