As part of the IMF and World Bank Group Spring Meetings taking place from April 18th to the 22nd, the Africa Center has convened the timely “2022 Spring Meeting Dialogues”, highlighting African views during the strategic gatherings around development matters. The focus of the conversation is on President Adesina’s findings during the spring meeting conversations with IMF and the World Bank, business in Africa and increasing the African Development Fund, Africa Investment Forum (AIF) mega-projects, and investment opportunities including in the new promising markets of creative industries, and AfDB policy hotspots for the Sahel, Horn of Africa, and the Great Lakes.
This virtual event on Friday, April 22nd at 8:30 a.m. EDT will feature an interview with Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), along with welcoming remarks from Mr. Myron Brilliant, Atlantic Council Board Member, Executive Vice-President and Head of International Affairs, US Chamber of Commerce, and panelist dialogue with Senior Fellow Mrs. Aubrey Hruby of the Africa Center and Mr. Julian Pecquet, Washington/UN Correspondent, Africa Report/Jeune Afrique.
