Please join the Atlantic Council’s Indo-Pacific Security Initiative (IPSI), housed in the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security, for a virtual panel discussion on A next generation agenda: Bridging South Korean & NATO perspectives on security. This event marks the launch of the associated issue brief, which incorporates key findings and recommendations from a series of private roundtables held over the past year with rising Indo-Pacific, US, and European experts.
Historically, NATO and South Korea have focused on security challenges from a singular adversary and failed to consider the mutually reinforcing aspects of global threats. The issue brief recommends seizing the current window of opportunity to enable closer operational and strategic cooperation among likeminded countries in Europe, North America, and the Indo-Pacific. Following opening comments from the co-authors, selected respondents will share related insights, and the event will conclude with a Q&A session with the global virtual audience.
