Taking place at the start of the IAEA’s International Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Power in the 21st Century, and in the run-up to COP27, this breakfast will highlight the crucial role of nuclear energy in global decarbonization. Discussion topics will include the importance of maintaining the existing reactor fleet, nuclear energy innovation, and applications for nuclear beyond the power sector (especially desalination, process heat, and hydrogen production). We will also address the road to COP28 in the UAE next year.
