As the global community continues to grapple with the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Atlantic Council is open for business. Our business, meetings, and events, however, are occurring virtually. For more information, please read an update from our President and CEO.
Please join the Atlantic Council’s Iraq Initiative and the Global Energy Center on Monday, December 14 from 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm ET for a discussion surrounding the upcoming report, Iraq’s Energy Security Strategy: A Path to Diversity and Energy Independence. Co-authored by Dr. Abbas Kadhim, director of the Iraq Initiative at the Atlantic Council, and Dr. Sara Vakhshouri, founder and president of SVB Energy International, the report outlines immediate and medium-term practical measures to tackle Iraq’s most pressing issues, in its quest to attain energy independence.
The discussion will feature the two co-authors alongside Dr. Luay al-Khatteeb, former Iraqi Minister of Electricity, and Mr. Ali al-Saffar, Energy Analyst at the International Energy Agency, and moderated by Dr. Jennifer Gordon, Managing Editor and Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center.
A Zoom link will be sent to those who register. The event is open to the press and on the record.
