As the global community continues to grapple with the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Atlantic Council is open for business. Our business, meetings, and events, however, are occurring virtually. For more information, please read an update from our President and CEO.
Please join the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center for a virtual roundtable with the COP26 Energy Transition Campaign team on Monday, November 23rd, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. EST. The discussion will focus on the goals of the Energy Transition Campaign and role of the Energy Transition Council in elevating diplomatic engagement on the energy transition in the lead up to COP26.
This meeting will feature a presentation by Hana Chambers and Simon Sharpe on behalf of the UK Government’s Cabinet Office COP26 Unit. They will provide an overview of the COP26 Energy Transition Campaign and the role of the COP26 Energy Transition Council, which convenes global leaders relevant to the power sector with the intent to make the energy transition a central part of COVID-19 recovery strategies and land ambition in Glasgow next year. Following their presentation, Randy Bell, director of the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center and the Morningstar chair for global energy security, will moderate an open discussion for all roundtable participants.
You will be able to join this conversation via the web application Zoom, which is accessible through your web browser, the Zoom desktop or mobile app, and by phone. Please register below to receive Zoom information and to view a full program agenda.
