On Wednesday, October 29, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. ET, the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security’s Forward Defense program will host a Captains of Industry series event on supply chain resilience for aerospace and defense.
The pandemic showed how a generation’s worth of globalization and outsourcing in aerospace and defense supply chains had compounded operational risk. The production of commercial airliners and nuclear-powered submarines alike are suffering from cost increases and schedule delays because the quality, availability, and quantity of key inputs are unreliable. Yet, industry and government lack clear visibility into the root causes of supply chain instability and an understanding of how corporate strategies and public policy should adapt.
Join us to hear about these challenges from senior industry executives across the supply chain and dive into the complexities of supply chain management in the aerospace and defense ecosystem in a post-pandemic world.
New policy: In-person attendees will be required to show photo ID upon arrival, and no on-site registration will be permitted. Guests will not be admitted later than twenty minutes after the event’s start time. Registration for this event will close at 5:00 p.m. ET the day prior.
