As the global community continues to grapple with the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Atlantic Council is open for business. Our business, meetings, and events, however, are occurring virtually. For more information, please read an update from our President and CEO.

The urgency of addressing climate change has never been more clear and the need for ambitious common ground solutions has never been more crucial. Policymakers must work together to make progress on these massive challenges. In pursuit of tangible, measurable solutions, the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center (GEC) is partnering with Uniper to launch a new Transition Trailblazers Series— a flagship forum for global energy leaders to discuss key energy transition challenges and opportunities. Through this program, the GEC provides a platform for policymakers, leading energy innovators, and business leaders to help develop and amplify the right energy policy solutions to drive the global energy transition.

Please join the GEC for the inaugural edition of Transition Trailblazers series, featuring Senator Chris Coons (D-DE) and Senator Mike Braun (R-IN), moderated by Dr. Julia Nesheiwat, Distinguished Fellow, Global Energy Center at the Atlantic Council, on Tuesday, August 3, from 11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. EDT. Marc Merrill, President & CEO of Uniper North America, will provide opening remarks; he will be introduced by Randolph Bell, Director of the Global Energy Center at the Atlantic Council. The speakers will focus on the opportunities for bipartisan climate cooperation as well as the role of the private sector in the energy transition. We hope you will join us for the launch of this high-level series.

Please join this interactive event via the web application Zoom, which is accessible through your web browser, the Zoom desktop or mobile app, and by phone. If you wish to join the question and answer period, you must join by app or web. You must register to receive further information on how to join the virtual audience.
