Cyber Risk Wednesday: Operationalizing Cyber Strategies

January 30, 2019 - 2:30 pm

1030 15th Street Northwest, 12th Floor
Washington, DC

Join the Atlantic Council’s Cyber Statecraft Initiative, within the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security, for a public discussion, Cyber Risk Wednesday: Operationalizing Cyber Strategies on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m.

In an increasingly complex global security landscape, strategy development and focused strategy execution are more important than ever.  The U.S. 2018 National Cyber Strategy outlines four pillars on security, prosperity, peace, and influence, providing a solid strategic framework for advancing American interests through enhanced cybersecurity and a more resilient digital economy. The key premise of the strategy is “shared responsibility” for our collective safety.

The overall effectiveness and coherence of stakeholders’ execution of this strategy will be critical for our cyber future.  Please join us for a discussion about how stakeholders can overcome the highest-priority challenges related to the strategy, including bridging existing gaps in responsibilities and coordination among Federal and non-Federal incident response efforts; promoting more routine training, exercises, and coordination; and other measures for effectively managing cybersecurity vulnerabilities.
