Aminata Niang is a visiting fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Freedom and Prosperity Center.
Niang is a second-year master of public administration student at the London School of Economics (LSE). She holds a master’s degree in international affairs from Sciences Po Bordeaux and a bachelor’s degree in social and political sciences from Paris Sciences et Lettres.
Niang has professional experience in research, policy analysis, and risk management. She is currently a research assistant at LSE, working with the Firoz Lalji Institute for Africa and the Department of Government on projects exploring public finance and infrastructure policies in West Africa, as well as global value chains and land issues in export agriculture.
Previously, she served as a country risk analyst for Teranga Security Operations, where she conducted security monitoring and managed risk assessments and mapping across West African and Sahelian countries.
A native of Senegal and fluent in French and Wolof, Niang is passionate about fostering economic development and governance reforms across Africa and beyond.
