Earth Day 2020 call for action: Mitigating the global food crises associated with COVID-19

At the beginning of April, the Atlantic Council GeoTech Center published an data-driven analysis examining “Global food security during COVID-19”. This follow-up report dives into three specific food security concerns informed by that data and presents three solutions that world leaders can implement now to get ahead of the negative impacts of COVID-19 on the global food supply.

Corina LJ DuBois is a strategic communications and digital expert with experience in diplomacy, military, defense, government, and international audiences—all with different levels of understanding and diverse stakeholder inputs. She is a US Navy veteran and served as one of the first females on combat ships before graduating from the University of Maryland with a dual degree in Communications/Political Science, and from The George Washington University with a Masters of Political Management. She is a Presidential Management Fellow alumni and member of Phi Kappa Phi and Alpha Sigma Lambda.

Corina continues to serve in a divergent sectors, previously acting as the chief of new media for the US State Department Bureau of Consular Affairs, as an advisor to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Transportation, and the Department of Energy. Corina has traveled the globe to present, keynote, and train, and has enjoyed experiences working for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service European Headquarters in Naples, Italy and NATO. She has also served in Havana, Cuba, Lagos, Nigeria, and has traveled the globe professionally and personally—fifty-six countries and counting. In addition, Corina served as the Camp David XO for the G8 Summit, as well as the White House Digital Playbook, and has taken on several special projects related to technology, humans, data, and geopolitics on measurable scales to secure our global future.

Corina has served as the People-Centered Internet strategic communications director, as a Singularity University Greater WDC Core Leadership team member, and as a Hu-manity.org Fellow. Corina joined the Atlantic Council GeoTech Center as the senior advisor for coordination and outreach in 2020 with a passion to bring forward the next generation of #ChangeAgents and solutions to complex local and global challenges.
