Jake Mezey was a program assistant in the Forward Defense practice of the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security. He contributed to the program’s research on nuclear security, space security, defense innovation and modernization, and grey zone conflict.

Previously, Mezey was a young global professional with Forward Defense and supported the publication of the report Seizing the Advantage: A Vision for the Next US National Defense Strategy. He also previously interned with the International Institute for Strategic Studies and contributed to its Missile Dialogue Initiative.

Mezey graduated with distinction from Yale University, earning a BA in history. As an undergraduate, he studied Russian in Saint Petersburg and his senior thesis focused on the role of the Russian military in Transnistria.
