Nathan Bruschi is a 2023 Millennium fellow and was first elected to the Albany County Legislature in 2019, representing the town of Colonie and Loudonville. Bruschi began his public service as an intelligence officer serving in the United States Navy. He was awarded Navy Achievement Medals for service leading strategic deterrence missions in East Asia and humanitarian missions throughout Central America. Afterward, Bruschi served in national security affairs in the White House under then-Vice President Joe Biden.

Bruschi now serves as president and chief executive officer of Anchorwork Inc., a private equity research fund helping small business owners transition their businesses in ways that serve their employees, customers, and communities.

Bruschi graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth College; a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where he was a Class Marshal; and a master’s in business administration from Harvard Business School, where he was a Baker scholar. He is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
