Neil Parekh is a senior advisor at the Atlantic Council’s Freedom and Prosperity Center. Parekh also serves as a nominated member of Parliament in Singapore representing the business community.
Parekh serves on the board of directors of Elevandi, an initiative of the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and is a partner at Tikehau Capital. He is a member of the strategic advisory council of the Singapore FinTech Association and serves as a council member of the Singapore Business Federation. In the governance and education sectors, Parekh currently holds roles in the Singapore Institute of Directors, as well as on the advisory committee of James Cook University. In 2023, he was admitted as a fellow in the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Prior to his time in Parliament, Parekh was the CEO of Asia for the National Australia Bank. For two decades before that, he held leadership positions in various financial service firms in New York, Los Angeles and Singapore.
Parekh’s research interests include the Indo-Pacific, freedom and prosperity, global economy and businesses, international financial institutions, and inclusive growth.
