On November 22, IPSI Nonresident Senior Fellow Markus Garlauskas was quoted in a Breaking Defense article on North Korea’s recent ICBM launch. In response to North Korea’s surge in missile shots and its deployment of 180 military aircraft in a single day, Garlauskas commented, “These recent activities fit into a longstanding pattern of provocative military demonstrations and weapons tests using South Korean and US activities as a pretext and justification.”
