Tyler Wilkinson is a 2022 Atlantic Council Millennium fellow and a senior national security and budget analyst for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). In this capacity, Wilkinson conducts analysis on legislative priorities related to the company’s Army, Navy, Air Force, and national-security components. Additionally, he manages SAIC’s Strategic Advisory Board, which is composed of three former Senate-confirmed officials. Wilkinson also co-authors a weekly newsletter, which provides legislative updates and general political analysis and has a reach of over twenty-six thousand employees in the company. In a previous role with SAIC, Wilkinson worked under a contract that provided support to the Defense Science Board. Prior to SAIC, he served as a special assistant on the US Senate Armed Services Committee for two years, where he oversaw the development and passage of two defense bills including a $740 billion National Defense Authorization Act, and he provided policy analysis on issues pertaining to Eurasia. He also served on the communications team in the office of US Senator Roy Blunt (R-MO). Wilkinson received a bachelor’s degree in government from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in defense and strategic studies from the US Naval War College. Wilkinson resides in Leesburg, Virginia, with his wife and Australian Shepherd.
