From YLE: Finland’s Minister of Defence, Stefan Wallin, has told the newspaper Savon Seudun Sanomat that all extra funding cuts planned in the defence forces increase the need to join NATO.
“If continuous savings reduce our defence ability, this will in turn lead to a defence deficit which must filled in other ways. In practice, this means that all additional savings increase the need to join the alliance,” Wallin said. (photo: YLE) (via European Almanac)
