The Atlantic Council’s Global Business and Economics program hosted Youssef Boutros Ghali, the Finance Minister of Egypt and chair of the IMF’s International Monetary and Financial Committee, for a conference call to discuss the IMF’s response to the global economic crisis’ effects in developing countries.
The International Monetary and Financial Committee is the policy steering committee of the IMF. The discussion was moderated by Tim Adams, a member of the Atlantic Council’s Business and Economics Advisors Group and managing partner of the Lindsey Group.
Boutros Ghali’s remarks were part of the Mapping the Economic and Financial Future Series, a lecture series featuring high-level business leaders and economic policymakers from the U.S. and Europe hosted by the Atlantic Council’s Global Business and Economics Program.
