On June 10, the Atlantic Council’s South Asia Center released a white paper entitled “Resilient Megacities: Strategy, Security, and Sustainability” that details findings and policy prescriptions from the Megacity Security Conference held in Mumbai, India, in November of 2015. The launch of the paper featured a public discussion with Governor Jon Huntsman, Jr., chairman of the Atlantic Council, Governor Tom Ridge, former secretary of homeland security, and Dr. Bharath Gopalaswamy, director of the South Asia Center, on the complexities of governance and security in a world that is increasingly urban and connected.
