On April 6, the Atlantic Council’s Transatlantic Relations Program, in cooperation with Chatham House (Royal Institute for International Affairs), released a summary of two workshops held in late 2011 that looked at the challenges of ensuring the observation of international human rights law in light of shifts in global power and the increasing importance of states including Brazil, China, India, Russia, and South Africa.
The first workshop was held at the Atlantic Council in Washington, DC in October, and the December workshop was hosted by Chatham House in London.
