The Atlantic Council held a half-day conference on May 24 to assess the outcomes of the NATO summit in Chicago this month and to consider NATO’s next steps.
Following remarks from Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall, our invited panelists commented on the outcome of the Chicago summit in each of these five categories: Afghanistan, global partnerships, smart defense, enlargement, and strategic capabilities. The panelists offered their own perspectives on the implications for NATO and the way ahead with the intention to produce lively debate among the panelists and conference attendees.
