**This event will take place in Warsaw, Poland.

The Future Europe Initiative invites you to a panel discussion with Atlantic Council experts to launch our latest think piece on “2020 and Beyond: The Next Phase of Digitalization in Central and Eastern Europe,” exploring opportunities afforded by the ongoing transition to the digital economy in Central and Eastern Europe, especially within the framework of the Three Seas Initiative (3SI). The panel discussion will be held from 9:30 am – 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the Hotel Bristol, Krakowskie przedmieście 42/44, 00-325 Warsaw, Poland. A light breakfast buffet will be served.

We are delighted to present a new Atlantic Council think piece exploring how the countries of Central and Eastern Europe can work together more effectively in order to capitalize on the potential of their digital economies, drive forward digitalization across the region, and more effectively leverage the Three Seas Initiative framework. The think piece is intended to inform, and lay the groundwork for, a broader subsequent effort through an Atlantic Council task force initiative in 2020, designed to dive more deeply into the challenges and opportunities of the digital economy across CEE, engage with a wide range of stakeholders in the region, and advance a more expansive and substantive list of policy recommendations.

Ambassador Daniel Fried, Distinguished Fellow at the Atlantic Council, and Frances Burwell, also a Distinguished Fellow at the Council and a co-author of the think piece, are looking forward to discussing our ideas for regional cooperation on digitalization and our task force effort with you and a wider audience in Warsaw.
