On April 22, the Atlantic Council Turkey Programs and Atlantic Council’s GeoEconomics Center organized an event at the Atlantic Council Headquarters, featuring H.E. Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Türkiye, on the occasion of the Minister’s visit to Washington DC for the IMF-World Bank Spring Meetings.

The discussion focused on the current state of the Turkish economy, opportunities and challenges, efforts to boost foreign investment and how the recent global trade environment could potentially impact the Turkish economy. The conversation was moderated by GeoEconomics Center Deputy Director and C. Boyden Gray Senior Fellow Charles Lichfield.
