As the world’s finance ministers meet in Washington, DC to discuss the future of the global economy, Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) must be front and center. Home to major emerging economies, the region faces unique growth and investment opportunities, while also dealing with challenges ranging from inequality to governance. How can the region accelerate inclusive, sustainable economic growth?
The Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center and GeoEconomics Center, in partnership with the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation, will address these issues while exploring opportunities for sustainable development in the inaugural conference focused on Latin America and the Caribbean on the sidelines of the World Bank & IMF Annual Meetings. This will be part of the Atlantic Council’s World Bank-IMF Annual Meetings series convening Finance Ministers and Central Bank governors from around the world.
Join us for an in-person event on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 12:45 to 2:30 p.m. ET at the Atlantic Council’s headquarters (1030 15th Street NW, 12th Floor, Washington, DC) to hear finance ministers from around the region discuss their countries’ economic outlooks, and to engage with other experts on Latin America and the Caribbean’s trajectory.
