Over the past several years the institutional economic architecture in the Asia-Pacific region has undergone dramatic changes. The financial landscape will be no less complex going forward. Under President Nakao’s leadership, the ADB has taken steps to strengthen its effectiveness in providing financing to development in Asia. President Nakao will lay out his vision for the future of the ADB and his thoughts on the economic challenges and opportunities in the Asian region.
