On Thursday, February 12, at 11:00 a.m. ET, the Indo-Pacific Security Initiative (IPSI) of the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security will host an #ACFrontPage conversation with Congressman John Moolenaar (R-MI-2) on enhancing Taiwan’s deterrence and expanding the US-Taiwan defense partnership.
As chairman of the House Select Committee on Strategic Competition between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party, Moolenaar will unpack key bipartisan recommendations from the select committee’s recent report, Ten More for Taiwan: Policy Recommendations to Deter Chinese Communist Party Aggression. Moolenaar will address how the United States can deepen whole-of-government engagement with Taiwan to promote US interests and maintain peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait.
New policy: In-person attendees will be required to show photo ID upon arrival, and no on-site registration will be permitted. Guests will not be admitted later than twenty minutes after the event’s start time. Registration for this event will close at 5:00 p.m. ET the day prior.
