On Thursday, October 23 at 8:00 a.m. ET/8:00 p.m. Taipei Time, the Indo-Pacific Security Initiative (IPSI) of the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security will host a seminar on countering the People’s Republic of China’s (PRC’s) gray-zone strategies

This event is part of IPSI’s Cross-Strait and Beyond Seminar Series, which informs the public debate on key issues for Taiwan and the United States, held in partnership with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in the United States.

The PRC’s gray-zone threats have risen to the fore of discussions on Taiwan, but to truly counter the PRC in the gray zone, it is critical to analyze Beijing’s tactics across the broader Indo-Pacific region. This seminar will explore the similar yet distinct challenges Taiwan and the Philippines face in fending off Beijing’s incursions in the air and at sea, and what Taiwan can learn from the Philippines to mitigate and deter Chinese aggression.
