Event description
On Wednesday, September 22 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. ET, please join the Atlantic Council’s GeoTech Center and Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security Cyber Statecraft Initiative for an off the record conversation, held under Chatham House Rule, examining the nexus between ransomware and cyberthreat intelligence, industry insurance, cryptocurrencies, and adversarial actors.
Ransomware poses a significant threat to national and economic security. Ransomware incidents can severely impact diplomatic, intelligence, military, and economic processes and leave organizations without the data they need to operate and deliver mission-critical services. By forging deeper connections and conversations between government, cybersecurity firms, and cryptocurrency industries, organizations can be better protected against ransomware attacks.
This roundtable series will inform a playbook to guide government and industry actors respond to ransomware incidents, preserve evidence, and form new partnerships needed to address these cyber challenges.
