On December 4, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. ET, the Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center will host leading voices on the US–Mexico relationship to discuss how both countries can advance regional competitiveness and shared priorities through the USMCA.
As the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) approaches its first official review in July 2026 and the three countries prepare to co-host the FIFA World Cup, all eyes are on North America. With the US trade representative hearing on the USMCA review underway, any decisions taken during this review will reshape the rules of the game for competitiveness, investment, and jobs for the three countries.
Building on our US-Mexico economic security and competitiveness work, this event will explore how the two countries can find common ground to reduce dependency on extra-regional actors, while seizing opportunities to strengthen the North American partnership for the USMCA.
After the event, join us for a special soccer-themed reception in the Adrienne Arsht Sky Lobby in advance of the following day’s World Cup draw.
New policy: In-person attendees will be required to show photo ID upon arrival, and no on-site registration will be permitted. Guests will not be admitted later than twenty minutes after the event’s start time. Registration for this event will close at 5:00 p.m. ET the day prior.
