Minister Brende will present a European perspective on the evolving challenges and threats emanating from the broad belt of conflict and instability in Europe's southern neighborhood, from Mali and Nigeria in the west to Afghanistan and Pakistan in the east. His will also discuss how Europe and the United States can work together to address the urgent challenge of securing stability and progress in fragile states.
