Please join us on Tuesday, October 20 from 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. for a discussion on innovative work that non-energy technology companies are doing at the cutting edge of today’s most pressing energy and climate issues. In this installment of our Road to Paris Climate Series, John Woolard, Vice President of Energy at Google, will assess the ways in which technology, data, and innovative financing are changing the global energy landscape. In particular, the discussion will center on Google’s efforts, which include more than $2 billion in investment, to make clean energy more accessible, scalable, and affordable across the world. Global Energy Center nonresident senior fellow Heather Zichal will moderate an interactive discussion on the following issues and more:

  • Trends in energy consumption and energy efficiency driven by technology and data
  • Emerging energy technologies poised to disrupt traditional energy production and consumption
  • The current and future role of clean energy technology in addressing the energy needs of developed and developing countries

Annie Medaglia, Deputy Director of the Global Energy Center will provide welcome remarks. We hope that you will be able to join us for what will surely be a lively discussion on a timely topic.
