This spring marks the 70th anniversary of the Washington Treaty, the founding document of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

On April 3-4, NATO’s founding date, Allied foreign ministers will convene in Washington, DC to commemorate achievements over the last seven decades, address the challenges facing the Alliance today, and highlight its enduring value and mission going forward.

Building on the success of NATO Engages: The Brussels Summit Dialogue, the Atlantic Council, the German Marshall Fund of the United States, the Munich Security Conference, and other partners will organize the NATO Ministerial’s leading outreach event. This town hall-style scene-setting event, hosted at the Anthem located on DC’s southwest waterfront, will encourage a broader public conversation about the importance of NATO, honor and celebrate its achievements, and discuss NATO’s future at this crucial time for the transatlantic community.
