On Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. ET, the Atlantic Council Turkey Program will host a timely event exploring pathways toward regional stability, cooperation, and economic opportunities in Syria. The event will address the strategic objectives of fostering domestic economic reconstruction and normalization, expanding regional energy corridors, and promoting regional economic integration.
Syria is entering a critical phase, shaped by a shifting security environment, complex regional politics, and evolving US engagement. Turkey’s evolving engagement presents opportunities for partnership with the United States and US businesses to tap the region’s potential. Against this backdrop, enhanced US–Turkish bilateral dialogue and cooperation in Syria remains essential, even as differences persist—with the success of these dialogues bearing wide-reaching implications for regional security, energy relations, trade, and diplomacy.
New policy: In-person attendees will be required to show photo ID upon arrival, and no on-site registration will be permitted. Guests will not be admitted later than twenty minutes after the event’s start time. Registration for this event will close at 5:00 p.m. ET the day prior.
