Remarks by: Daniel Trotta Chief Correspondent in Cuba Reuters

The Summit of the Americas is generating an unprecedented amount of attention, thanks in large part to the dramatic changes in the US-Cuba relationship. The summit will need to overcome a history of inaction and massive ideological polarization to produce meaningful results. It will also follow on the heels of President Obama's visit to Jamaica, where he will address the heads of Caribbean nations and the Caribbean Energy Security Initiative begun by Vice President Joseph Biden earlier this year.
Join us for a discussion on what will make summit headlines with Latin America Center Director, Peter Schechter , Nonresident Senior Energy Fellow David Goldwyn, and Havana-based Reuters Correspondent Daniel Trotta. Latin America Center Deputy Director Jason Marczak will moderate.
