Please join the Indo-Pacific Security Initiative (IPSI) of the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security for a hybrid panel discussion on production diplomacy for Indo-Pacific deterrence, readiness, and resilience.

While “production diplomacy” is a new term, it is not a new concept. It is an approach that integrates the defense industrial bases (DIBs) of allies and partners. This discussion will focus on how production diplomacy can enable the protection of supply chains, strengthening of alliances and partnerships, deterrence enhancement, and building of defense readiness. It will also cover the risks and growing challenges of an evolving geostrategic environment that allies and partners must face when facing multiple adversaries simultaneously. The event will conclude with key recommendations for the United States and its Indo-Pacific allies and partners as they seek to rapidly develop and implement new production diplomacy initiatives.
