On September 23 at 11:15 a.m. ET, the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center hosted a fireside chat on advancing transatlantic energy security and economic resilience featuring Ditte Juul Jørgensen, director general for energy of the European Commission, and other government officials and private-sector leaders.

With the EU-US framework agreement on trade in place, the United States and Europe now face an unprecedented opportunity to strengthen supply chains, accelerate investment in infrastructure and interconnections, and reduce both cyber and kinetic vulnerabilities to the energy system. Panelists explored how these goals can be achieved through expanded trade, scaled innovation, and greater policy alignment to ensure long-term economic prosperity.
