Please join the Atlantic Council’s Rafik Hariri Center for the Middle East for a roundtable discussion on the critical issue of fostering job creation through investment in Middle East countries in transition. Majid Jafar is uniquely positioned to discuss the challenges to developing large job-creating infrastructure projects and other private sector investments. The ASP is a policy initiative that supports an Arab-led coordinated economic response to the youth unemployment crisis and instability in the region. Jafar will discuss the pressing issues of job creation, the obstacles that need to be overcome to implement projects in these difficult investment climates, and practical ways to move forward despite the obstacles.
