On Wednesday, January 28 at 10:00 a.m. ET, the Indo-Pacific Security Initiative (IPSI) of the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security will host Taiwan’s Minister of Economic Affairs Ming-Hsin Kung for a discussion during his first official visit to the United States.

Deepening US-Taiwan commercial ties—especially regarding technological innovation, industrial cooperation, and co-production—is key to strengthening economic security and resilience. At this event, Kung will deliver remarks and sit down with an expert panel to discuss Taiwan’s role in global supply chains and the US-Taiwan partnership.

New policy: In-person attendees will be required to show photo ID upon arrival, and no on-site registration will be permitted. Guests will not be admitted later than twenty minutes after the event’s start time. Please note that public registration is limited for this event. Registration for this event will close at 5:00 p.m. ET the day prior or once capacity is reached.
