On Wednesday, January 7 at 9:30 a.m. EST, the Atlantic Council’s Freedom and Prosperity Center will host a discussion exploring what the next phase of US humanitarian assistance will look like.

The Trump administration is looking to chart a new path for US humanitarian engagement across the world, resulting in a new reevaluation of the US approach to foreign assistance. To discuss the latest US approach, we’re sitting down with Jeremy Lewin—currently performing the duties of under secretary of state for foreign assistance, humanitarian affairs, and religious freedom at the US State Department—followed by a panel discussion with select experts.

New policy: In-person attendees will be required to show photo ID upon arrival, and no on-site registration will be permitted. Guests will not be admitted later than twenty minutes after the event’s start time. Registration for this event will close at 5:00 p.m. ET the day prior.
