When it comes to energy, the emergence of new technologies can rapidly overturn the status quo.  Just as the shale revolution has reshaped global energy and geopolitics in a few short years, next-generation battery technologies could have a momentous impact on markets, politics, and climate change, enriching some governments while exacerbating the economic pressure on others.  But how close is this new age, and what are the impediments to reaching it?

Please join us on Monday, April 6, 2015 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. for the first event in our New Technology Series for a discussion on next generation battery technology with Steve LeVine, Washington Correspondent for Quartz and author of The Powerhouse: Inside the Invention of a Battery to Save the World, and Jeffrey Chamberlain, Executive Director of the Joint Center for Energy Storage Research at Argonne National Laboratory.  The Hon. Richard Morningstar, Founding Director of the Atlantic Council's Global Energy Center will deliver welcome remarks.

Lunch will be served

1030 15th Street NW
12th Floor (West Tower Elevator)
